Girls in IT: Northwest Arkansas

The ITRI will host a Girls in IT event on Friday December 2nd from 9:00-2:00 pm for young women in the 9th - 12th grades.  The event will be held at and is sponsored by Tyson Foods, Inc. corporate offices in Springdale, AR.  This program is designed to encourage women to seek out lucrative careers in the information technology industry. 

The desire is to have 150 young women from Arkansas high schools in attendance.  Learn more.

  • Advance the state of research and practice in the development and use of information technology for enhancing the performance of individuals and organizations.
  • Provide a forum for multi-disciplinary work on issues related to information technology.
  • Promote student interest in the study of information technology.
  • Facilitate the exchange of information between the academic and business communities.
